Focus Mode

Use the FOCUS MODE option in the F AF/MF SETTING menu to choose how the camera focuses.

  1. Press MENU/OK to display the menus.

  2. Select F AF/MF SETTING > FOCUS MODE in the shooting menu.

  3. Choose from the following options:

    MULTI

    		 When the shutter button is pressed halfway, the camera detects high-contrast subjects and selects the focus area automatically.

    t

    AREA

    The focus area can be changed. Press the selector up, down, left, or right to move the focus area, and then press MENU/OK to apply the focus area setting.

    TRACKING

    		 Position the subject in the center focus area and press DISP/BACK. Focus will track the subject as it moves through the frame.
